Short-Term Running Goals:

Recovering from micro-fracture surgery on my right knee.  I tore the cartilage off of my knee while doing a speed-training run one month before Boston.  Doc gave me a cortisone shot so that I was able to finish Boston.  After the surgery, I was told to never run again. :(

"In truth, runners don't race other runners.  They race against themselves: to conquer their wills, to transcend their weaknesses, to beat back their nightmares.  And while a runner can't actually beat himself, he can beat his time. Even years into running, he can get better." Running for His Life by Michael Hall

Still sick.  I feel like my head weighs 500lbs.  Can't hear, can't breath, head feels like it is on the verge of explosion.

Planning on running 16 on Friday and my nephew decided to go to Vegas for the weekend with his friends! Where are his priorities? ha!  Sad that I will be running solo with my ipod.  :(

I would love to run with you, but as sad as it is, at 20 weeks you are still faster than me! Now that is depressing!!!

Hey Steam8, running 10k and feeling like that.....I'm impressed! Are you drinking orange juice...oh wait it's Diet Coke or Pepsi...sorry I forgot. Slam one down for me!

Haha Rye! I did just eat an orange but the Diet Pep sure did put a smile on my face today! I'll slam one down for you tomorrow, if I did it right now I wouldn't sleep tonight!

trying to think through how an iPod works with a 500-pound head. Good miles though.

When you're sick, like this, I think you should be able to log your miles a double :-) Good sick run! Hope you're feeling better now.

So sorry you are sick. It's no bueno.

We should meet up on some Saturdays and run long together. I will slow down no worries. :)
