Recovering from micro-fracture surgery on my right knee.  I tore the cartilage off of my knee while doing a speed-training run one month before Boston.  Doc gave me a cortisone shot so that I was able to finish Boston.  After the surgery, I was told to never run again. :(

"In truth, runners don't race other runners.  They race against themselves: to conquer their wills, to transcend their weaknesses, to beat back their nightmares.  And while a runner can't actually beat himself, he can beat his time. Stomach flu going around my house.  Started last week with my 13 yr old.  I had one kid sleeping next to me and one at the foot of the bed on my feet all night.  I didn't feel great yesterday and thought I was going to puke all night....brought back great pregnancy memories.  Couldn't stand the smell of my kitchen this morning, had to Lysol and open windows, kept running to the bathroom.  On the bike for 30 minutes and tread and dread for 1 hr.  I had to get off a couple of times, walk a bit, but ran a full 5....just not fast.  I actually didn't feel like I was going to puke while running.  Glad the run is over and hope to be feeling like I am unpregnant soon! Bleh!  Hope you have a nice weekend all!

Nice job running through the pukey feeling! That's awesome. Sometimes when I don't feel well, I swear that although my run is slow, I feel better while I'm running it then any other time. Good job!

Your comment on your kids sprawled all over the bed brought back memories...some good and some not so good! Good luck. Nice running!

I would never run when I'm feeling that way. I am a big baby when it comes to an unsettled stomach.

Way to tough it out. I had, what I thought was the flu a few weeks ago but it only lasted a couple of days. Hope yours is the same.
