It has been a month since my 18.5 run that caused the stress fracture after a fun week of too much hiking and trail running.

I am going crazy!  I am up to 113.5 pounds.  I don't remember the last time I weighed this much! :(  I  was sitting yesterday and felt that awful familiar feeling of having a fat roll hang over my pants!! I am a definite pear shape so when I can feel the fat on my stomach.....I know my weight is getting up there!

I see the doc in one week.  I am hoping I can start back up again.  I am feeling like I want to head out today in this beautiful fall weather and run up the canyon, hit the trails and get that tired leg feeling that I love so much.

I downloaded a bunch of new songs to my ipod and have it ready to go.  I can't take it anymore!  I HATE the boot!

Hahaha, .01, that's not very far, but it's a start.

0.01? That's the saddest thing I've ever seen :(

Hang in there girly!

Did you walk it?

From Twinkies on Tue, Sep 13, 2011 at 13:26:19 from 72.37.244.100

113.5 is tiny. I can't imagine any of that is fat.

Maybe you should weigh yourself without the boot ;)

From Burt on Tue, Sep 13, 2011 at 13:28:57 from 206.19.214.144

52.8 feet.

Hey, do only boys comment on your blog?

From RAD on Tue, Sep 13, 2011 at 14:16:39 from 76.27.16.189

When I was injured I always loved running out to my car and back from the grocery store :) I wasn't really running per say...right? :) I thought that was what the .01 was about.

Good luck at the doctors office, glad I can break up this boys club!

From Steam8 on Tue, Sep 13, 2011 at 14:22:15 from 166.70.55.77

Thanks RAD. See Burt!

From Steam8 on Tue, Sep 13, 2011 at 14:34:19 from 166.70.55.77

BURT!

113 doesn't sound like much, but when you are short like I am..... I am not a runner with long, flowing legs. They are unfortunately more like short, tree stumps! I know, it is dumb....I am just hating that I am not in good shape, especially when everyone on here is training for St. George and pumping out amazing miles every day! I am 5 pounds up now and I can't do a thing about it except cut out my eating and I am too depressed to do that ha!

From Kelli on Tue, Sep 13, 2011 at 14:38:52 from 71.219.67.175

Are you short???? ;o)

Now, remember, I told you that I gained 14 pounds with my achilles injury, and I was actually allowed to run off and on! It will fall off of you, do not stress. As soon as you can get back out there doing anything, your body will get rid of it all.

(That was hard for me to be so nice---113 pounds?????? You are tiny!)

From Steam8 on Tue, Sep 13, 2011 at 14:42:18 from 166.70.55.77

I'm short! I'm short! I'm not quite 5'4...I say I am though! ha!

If you gained 14....you give me hope. I've never gained weight being injured before. I don't know what I am doing different. :(

From Kelli on Tue, Sep 13, 2011 at 14:50:52 from 71.219.67.175

When i am injured, I continue to eat like I am not. That is my problem! I have the craziest weight ever. Since Saturday i have gained 8 pounds for no reason. Any time I run a lot or a little, i get chubby. It is odd. But it is what I do.

I am only 2.5 inches taller than you and I weigh 135 as an average. I hope it is all muscle or something! ;o)

NO WORRIES, it will go away. I will come run it out of you if you need me to. Remember, we have our Saturday run to celebrate your return to running.

From Lily on Tue, Sep 13, 2011 at 17:45:29 from 67.199.178.210

Steamy! :) When I was injured last January and Feb I gained 10 lbs. After I started running again, I lost the 10 I had gained plus 3 more. I am 13-15 lbs lighter now than I was just last march. No worries. That boot isn't going to be on there forever. You could always lift weights too. That can help a lot. Keep your chin up, it's not long now

From Sue on Tue, Sep 13, 2011 at 17:54:56 from 63.248.41.148

Uug! I hate stress fractures and as a little person myself I know what you mean about the weight and people not understanding but right now I do wish I was 113 :)

From Burt on Tue, Sep 13, 2011 at 18:14:00 from 206.19.214.144

Yeah, keep both chins up.

From Kelli on Tue, Sep 13, 2011 at 18:28:36 from 71.219.67.175

BURT!!!!!!

I sure do love you little people.

I visiting taught a very skinny lady at one time and she was complaining about losing weight (and back then I weighed about 30 pounds more than I do now). I told her she was ridiculous for worrying about a few pounds when she was already a stick. She explained to me that everyone has a weight they feel good at and adding a few pounds really makes you feel like crap. I got it then and I really get it now.

SO, we ALL feel your pain, skinny or not!

From Dan on Tue, Sep 13, 2011 at 19:46:18 from 208.54.85.145

I may not be any help here, I eat all the time and like it that way. I can't imagine watching my calories. Sure sometimes I eat 'healthy' but I can't resist a nice rich snack. So 113 is lighter than me and everyone tells me I need to gain weight - I will send you some new food ideas and call me when you hit 120. :p Seriously, I am happy your doc visit is very soon and hope you can get back at it slowly but surely :)

Just getting caught up and saw this. Hope your appointment went well, keep us up to date.

From I Just Run on Wed, Sep 14, 2011 at 22:35:51 from 71.41.149.142

All of ya'll (that's texas talk) are complaining about loosing weight...I wish I could gain about 5 pounds!

I'm looking forward to good news in a week!

Oh...and BTW, everyone is not training for St George ... remember there's other cripples out here :-(

From Carina on Thu, Sep 15, 2011 at 13:51:53 from 204.15.86.83

You're a skinny minnie!! I'm sorry about the boot, being injured is no fun, I know the feeling that you might go crazy!

From Smooth on Thu, Sep 15, 2011 at 14:55:51 from 174.27.201.64

Steamer ~ No worries! You will get back to your former skinniest speedy self once you're off the boot and runnin'.

I am the shortie here! You are 5" taller than me! I look like a tree trunk with stumpy legs next to you! Seriously your are a tiny little cutie! :)

GOOD LUCK with the doc. appointment next week! He better be nice or you can kick him with the boot! :)
