Short-Term Running Goals:

Recovering from micro-fracture surgery on my right knee.  I tore the cartilage off of my knee while doing a speed-training run one month before Boston.  Doc gave me a cortisone shot so that I was able to finish Boston.  After the surgery, I was told to never run again. :(

Long-Term Running Goals:

QUALIFIED FOR BOSTON! April 16, 2011 

Ran Boston on April 14, 2012!

Hot, windy and a crappy run! I thought I was going to die out there today.  No energy, side ache and tired legs!  I didn't sleep last night.  I kept looking at the clock every 15 minutes hoping it would be a couple of hours.  I hate days like today!  I need to hurry and mow before the garbage truck gets here. :(

 On a happy note...it is my 15th wedding anniversary.  I have the most wonderful hub in the world.  I don't know how I got so lucky! Time is going by too fast!!

Sorry to hear about the bad day. I thought you lived in Utah or did you taken a quick trip here to Texas so you could run in some hot, windy, crappy conditions? I'm a little confused what's going on...? I'm sure you couldn't have been in Utah, I've seen all the pictures! I actually come to your Blog so I can feel like I'm in a "happy place" :-)

We have to mow Thursday. It is so funny, our entire street is out there mowing at the same time (garbage day is Friday). It reminds me of the dancing/mowing scene in She's Having a Baby. Do you remember that movie? It is my all time favorite.

Dan, BEST MOVIE EVER! And that movie is not all that old cause I am young. As soon as they start remaking the movies from our youth, we are in trouble (Footloose, unbelievable!)

So, do you want to come to my neighborhood and sit on my lawn on a Thursday night and watch the scene? Last week it was unreal, I was laughing hysterically. I am easily amused. None of my neighbors know the movie, so they think I am whacked.
