Recovering from micro-fracture surgery on my right knee.  I tore the cartilage off of my knee while doing a speed-training run one month before Boston.  Doc gave me a cortisone shot so that I was able to finish Boston.  After the surgery, I was told to never run again. :(

"In truth, runners don't race other runners.  They race against themselves: to conquer their wills, to transcend their weaknesses, to beat back their nightmares.  And while a runner can't actually beat himself, he can beat his time. Even years into running, he can get better." Running for His Life by Michael Hall

Heading to Vegas to meet up with my hub for the weekend.  It is probably my least favorite place on earth! He is at a conference and  has the restaurants all planned and ready to go since we don't drink, gamble, or do anything Vegas-like! I am going to lay at the pool and eat myself sick in hopes that binging all weekend will give me some motivation to get back at running.  Everything is hurting on me lately.  Is it just because I am getting old? I think I am going to give myself a week or two break to heal up, but I am so afraid of getting out of shape and starting back with breathing hard at mile one again! :(

When I get back, I am going to get an elliptical so that I can complain about it like everyone else on here! ha!!

I actually really love my elliptical, I think it is great x-training and it gives my legs a nice break from the pounding!

Elliptical hell :) haha, it's not so bad and it is actually the best way to cross train. Cute picture again :)

Hey, I'm back on your favorites again. Yay! Now I can put you back on mine.

Guess what? I'm in Vegas, too. I can tell it's the town that never sleeps because I'm awake at 1:30 in the morning.
