Short-Term Running Goals:

Recovering from micro-fracture surgery on my right knee.  I tore the cartilage off of my knee while doing a speed-training run one month before Boston.  Doc gave me a cortisone shot so that I was able to finish Boston.  After the surgery, I was told to never run again. :(

Long-Term Running Goals:

QUALIFIED FOR BOSTON! April 16, 2011

Ran Boston on April 14, 2012!

Personal:

Married, 40 year old, mother of four.

"In truth, runners don't race other runners.  They race against themselves: to conquer their wills, to transcend their weaknesses, to beat back their nightmares.  And while a runner can't actually beat himself, he can beat his time. Even years into running, he can get better." Running for His Life by Michael Hall

Ran 5 in 41:30 on the dreadmill!  It was torture...I'm not gonna lie! Ha!  I missed all of the great fall running weather and now I am stuck running inside...dang foot! Half an hour on the bike too, I was procrastinating getting on the treadmill. :)

Awesome! The TM can be a challenge, but isn't it great to be running again! Let's just hope that this winter isn't like last year. It just kept going and going.

I almost came and knocked on your door the other day as I was up running the LCC trail. I decided it probably would have been creepy and didn't. Ha.

Well, at least you did it. A lot of the times it just feels like punching the clock, but it seems to pay off. Now get back on the TM!

Jun...You should have come on by! If you run in the afternoon on Tues, Wed or Thurs and need a recovery run and someone to chat your ear off, let me know! :)

I often do easy runs on those days. I'll hit you up before I head out on one, for sure. They are often in the early afternoon.
