Recovering from micro-fracture surgery on my right knee.  I tore the cartilage off of my knee while doing a speed-training run one month before Boston.  Doc gave me a cortisone shot so that I was able to finish Boston.  After the surgery, I was told to never run again. :(

"In truth, runners don't race other runners.  They race against themselves: to conquer their wills, to transcend their weaknesses, to beat back their nightmares.  And while a runner can't actually beat himself, he can beat his time. Even years into running, he can get better." Running for His Life by Michael Hall

Of all the days to run BoSho with Jun.  Mr. 100 miler!  I have a cold and can only breathe out of one nostril... I sound like a man and spent the night cleaning up my 7 year old's puke!

Jun put up with my sorry, out of shape butt today.  I feel terrible he had to run so slow and watch me walk up the steep hills after he just hopped up them like a jackalope! ha! I was so out of breath that I had to quit talking in some spots, which I am sure was a nice relief to him! It was a beautiful run and the weather could not have been better.  It was pouring at my house an hour before the run, but the sun was shining and trails were lightly damp when we hit them.  Wonderful run!

I want to point out the superior usage of jackalope! Almost as good as the run. Nice.

Just as long as you aren't a Cougar. I bleed blue, but not of the Utah County variety. The U was my second choice, though. :)
