Short-Term Running Goals:

Recovering from micro-fracture surgery on my right knee.  I tore the cartilage off of my knee while doing a speed-training run one month before Boston.  Doc gave me a cortisone shot so that I was able to finish Boston.  After the surgery, I was told to never run again. :(

Long-Term Running Goals:

QUALIFIED FOR BOSTON! April 16, 2011

Ran Boston on April 14, 2012!

"In truth, runners don't race other runners.  They race against themselves: to conquer their wills, to transcend their weaknesses, to beat back their nightmares.  And while a runner can't actually beat himself, he can beat his time. Even years into running, he can get better." Running for His Life by Michael Hall

Gorgeous day! Started out early in the teens, I finished in the 20s.  It was cooooold!  Ran 13.1 in 1:50 exactly.  I really wanted to get under 1:50, but couldn't do it today.  I really just wanted to beat my last half marathon run of 1:59 with my nephew since he cancelled on me again this morning.  I texted him as soon as I got home just to bug him! ha!

I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!!!

That was an awesome smash of his time! Nice work getting out alone and enjoying the day. I may need a little advice on how to handle life right now...
