"In truth, runners don't race other runners.  They race against themselves: to conquer their wills, to transcend their weaknesses, to beat back their nightmares.  And while a runner can't actually beat himself, he can beat his time. Even years into running, he can get better." Running for His Life by Michael Hall

After getting my two girls off to school and the 13yr old (kicking and screaming :) )to swim team, I took my 4 year old in the stroller behind Crestwood pool again while we waited for swim team to finish.  He wouldn't sit in the stroller.  He kept running and running and telling me that he was training for his marathon.  It was sooo cute! I wish kids wouldn't grow up! They are so much more enjoyeable when they are young. He wore out after a while and jumped in the stroller and nagged me to go to the playground. I spent the rest of the day running kids to and from school.  It was field day today.  Fun day for the kids.

My cute 10 yr old girl wanted to go on a mile jog tonight.  We decided to run to the Bells Canyon trail head and hike up to the lake and back.  It was so beautiful tonight.  We spent an hour talking up at the lake.  It was such a fun night and added another 3 miles on for rattletraps family running miles! :)

Sounds like you have a beautiful place to run. I can't describe anything around where I live like that.

Cherish the time you spend talking to you kids. She's 10 now but in a blink of an eye she will be 20. That's what happened to my daughter...And most of that time in between she won't talk.

Oh...btw...good run :-)
